Jackie feels very strongly that anyone embarking on her Intensive training courses, deserves very specific & individual guidance from her & her tutors. For this reason, spaces on the courses are strictly limited.
Ideally, applicants should have passed Intermediate / Advanced 1 / Advanced 2 in the chosen genre before applying. However, tuition for these dance examinations can be arranged on request.
Jackie is pleased to announce that she offers tuition for all units of the DDE qualification in Modern Theatre , Tap & Ballet.
*Please note tuition for Unit 3 (Intermediate dance exam in Modern / Tap ) is by prior arrangement for private lessons. Classes in Intermediate Ballet are run on a weekly basis.
DDE Ballet runs via weekly lessons in Rayleigh, Essex. This course has a ‘rolling’ intake every term.

DDE Tap & Modern are offered on an intensive course basis delivered on selected Sundays and in School / College holidays. Please note these courses do not have a rolling intake. Once a Tap or Modern course has begun, no further applicants will be permitted to join. It is therefore important that anyone that is interested, books their place ahead of the course application deadline.
Observation, Assisting & Teaching Practice
Students must be over 18 years of age when starting the teaching practice section of this unit.
Students must also have a full & valid enhanced DBS certificate.
Jackie is able to help teaching students gain an enhanced DBS certificate if required. *additional costs may be incurred for this.
Exemptions may be applied for relevant teaching experience.

It is hoped that applicants will already have passed this level of dance exam, however if required, private lessons can be arranged in Ballet, Modern Theatre & Tap.
Group Zoom lessons are given by Jackie’s Unit 1 & 5 Tutor.
Written tasks are required to reach a sufficient standard, before work can be submitted to ISTD for final marking.
Work needs to be sent for marking via email.
Tutor feedback is provided either via email, telephone or Zoom tutorials.
Jackie & her team recommend that both these units ought to be started, if not completed, before starting work on the Unit 4 practical unit.
Unit 1 must be completed before Unit 2 can be completed.
Unit 5 can be completed at any point in your DDE journey.
Course will start: 6th December 2026. Exams are planned for: Nov. 2027
